Using Mail on wireless network

    Anyone else use Mail on wireless Internet?

    I use Mail for my e-mails. I am using wireless Internet at school and Mail won't work. :hs:

    Anyone else have same problem?

    is port 110 and 25 open on the network? Sometimes schools block em on wifi.

    can you receive but not send e-mail? if so it's likely your smtp server that needs to be changed to the school's one when you're on their network. Otherwise, yeah they're probably blocking ports to avoid people inadvertantly (and unknowingly) acting as relay nodes for spammers :noes:

    I cannot receive or send e-mails using Mail. I think they are blocking ports... :hs:

    I have no problems on my wireless network at home.

    I bet they are blocking the ports. My school does the same thing.

    Do you use Airport Extreme (or express)? I am waiting for my Airport Express to arrive...

    PowerBook has built in wireless card, and this is my Microsoft wireless modem:

    The modem and a wireless card for my Vaio notebook was all together $73.00 shipped in 3 days. I use the router with my macs and the Vaio notebook with 0 problems.
