Using a recoil pad on your Mosin Nagants?

Are any of you using recoil pads or anything for your Mosin Nagants? I can shoot for a while, maybe 40-50 rounds, but then I start getting sore than I use a towel or something of the other as a pad.

I just ordered this as it is supposedly one of the better pads. The ones at Wallyworld just looked too cheap. Ive also read other reviews about this on other forums and have only heard good things. I will see when it arrives, should be here next Tuesday the 21st. Anyways I bought it from here.

Nope. I fire it plain. When Summer comes I'll be hitting the range every day as to build up my tolerance for the kick.

No pad here either. If you feel the need for one maybe one of those shooting vests with padded shoulder would be better, atleast that setup would be easier to use for multiple rifles.

a .32 win isnt that powerful :hsugh: It's a neat cartridge and I'd like to have a gun like you mentioned but its essentially a .32 caliber 30-30.

at 500 yards it has the power of a .45acp at the muzzle, just total weaksauce :squint:

it's a very good hunting round, but my comparison is to my SKS which is gas operated and doesn't have the big boom and recoil factor that the 94 has, or a mosin :)

I'd like to have a 32 or a .35 rem in a light, fast lever at some point. Marlin had a .35 rem 336 that had an 18.5" barrel like the guide guns but it was a limited run. I'd love to get one of those :hs:

And the same can be said for dozens of other rifle cartridges, big shit.

I didn't say it was :dunno:

that and I don't own a very accurate rifle, so I was quite impressed with the 1894 and .32 combo :)

You don't see it chambered much anymore, kinda sad :hs:

Out of curiosity, was it scoped or iron sights?
