**Used to be Obese crew** What motivated you to stop your cravings?

    I had a good run up until no smoking and no fatty shit, but for reason i asked for a cig from my friend and ate at Cousins about half an hour after the gym. wtf. so what motivated you guys and helped you stop your cravings?

    I went from a fat 215lbs to a solid 170lbs. Looking in the mirror was my motivation.

    Just the thought of McDonald's is enough to remind myself to not eat fatty shit. If I eat out with family, etc, it's always something healthy at least.

    I've never smoked or drank before so I've never craved either of those. I consider them a waste of money.

    if your desire for the end goal is stronger than your desire to eat/smoke, your cravings will diminish. until then, things will be notably difficult.

    210lb to 150lb in 6-8 months, and then now I'm a steady 170 1.5 yrs later.

    What helps motivate me are my abs. When I eat like shit, my lower abs diminish, because I'm in between having visible abs and just a 4pack.

    i'm a recent transformer. 225-170 in 5-6 months, 180 now, been eating not so good, and the lower abs are leaving me...

    both are bad habits i wish i had never started. Waking up and then hacking up some brown shit...gross.

    Thats one of them, but all my friends are saying to me shit like "oh man, you won't be the same when you are skinny...not as funny you know?"
    I mean that should be enough to get me going. I'm just gonna need more discipline i guess, maybe ill hire a Thai Trainer who will kick me in the stomach every time i succumb to cheating.

    This is sort of gay, but I really like dressing cool. A lot of shit looks hilarious when you've got a tire around your belly, definitely not cool.

    I'm okay now although I broke my streak and started to pig out recently, jumped around 9lbs in 2 weeks haha!!

    I went from 220 about a year and a half ago, now I'm at a steady 155-160lbs.

    i suffer the same way too

    we can never win..


    id like to be in a state where i can go on vacation for 2 weeks, enjoy food with out stupid timing and all, and come back with a 6 pack, ready to start again

    265 - 175 in 9 months, holding around 180 now... I just threw everything I owned that was bad away, I buy and make a weeks worth of food every sunday, and I told all my friends to go fuck themselves the first week when it came to eating out... they got the hint. I hate eating alone, so I used that as my primary weapon... force myself to eat alone, I'll just eat what I've made. Go out with friends, eat like a pig.

    it was really weird. one thanksgiving I just got sick of smoking and quit cold turkey.

    like so many else, I had been a gym member for years but wasn't a regular, then one day, about a month after I quit smoking, a friend of mine who went to gym before class said there wasn't a snowballs chance in hell she would ever see me there, so the next day I was there...and she wasn't LOL. After that, we started working out together. After a while i manged to pull my diet inline because for once I saw a small, but consistent drop in weight so I figured, ok, this is actually working, lets do this right. From then on the will power increased and the rest is history

    hated being made fun of all the time and wanted to show people i could lose the weight.

    the people who made fun of me were real suprised when i dropped 100lbs in a few months. Not the healthiest weight loss, but I made it happen
