Whats is considered a lot of miles on a bike?
If you buy from someone, what do you usually look for so it's in good quality?

I'd say anything over 30k is a lot of miles.

Really depends on how it was maintained. Some people have bikes with 50k miles that say they run just as well as the day they got it :dunno:

This is about as thorough as it gets, take notes.

depends on the type of bike.
I've seen cruisers/tourers with over 100k miles that still run like a champ.

Always ask if they were the first owner or not. You can really tell alot from the owner on how they treated the bike.

yep. previous owners are a big sign.

my r1 was purchased from a 28-30 year old dude who used it for commuting.

10k miles and not a scratch.

theres multiple guys on my hayabusa forum with well over 50k miles and one that talk to that has just rolled 110k on original engine with the only thing he's had done was brakes, clutches, and blown fork seals. if they're well taken care of you should be fine and i wouldn't worry about them. most sport bikes are crazy built imports, how many civics have you seen well into the 200k and 300k club so as long as reving the shit out them constantly and knew how to change the oil you probably fairly straight
