Used a 9V power adapter on a device that was 12V powered and now it's broken. Help!

  1. On my portable LCD screen that is powered by a 12V power adapter, I plugged in a 9V power adapter and now it won't work anymore. Is there any way I can fix it? :wtc:

    Ditto. Send it in for repair.

    You may have blown the LCD inverter board.

    all hardware is build of magical blue smoke... release the blue smoke and the item breaks :(

    Yep, it's hard to get me magic blue smoke back in too :(

    You fried it, NEVER undervolt a item as sensative electronic device, it will die.
