use time capsule for torrent?

    do you want to use it to download torrents, or just forward the ports through it to a computer?

    I assume he wants to download the torrents directly to the HDD on the Time Capsule. If so this shouldn't be a problem.

    it may cripple the speed of your torrents a little.. but should work ok :dunno:

    Why would it cripple your speeds? The 802.11n is much faster then any torrent download speeds you're going to get even when you factor in the information being sent from your modem to the Time Capsule to the laptop and back to the Time Capsule.

    torrents access your HD like crazy to write and read the pieces simultaneously, you are adding significant latency which will slow things - wired or wireless lan. Not to mention the amount of connections that they open hammer network connections - the same one which you using for storage..
