    Howdy
I have an old laptop (Toshiba 4090xdvd) and I have a flash drive that will not work in the USB port(version unknown). Now if I buy a USB 2.0 hub and plug it into my USB port will it work? Or should I just but a USB 2.0 PCMCIA Card?

    Thanks:dunno:

If I'm not mistaken, USB2.0 devices are backwards compatible, so they should work in USB1.1 ports, but at USB1.1 speeds.

If you're running Windows 98, it won't work. That is, unless you download the drivers for it off the Flash Drive manufacturers site. And if there are no drivers..SOL my friend.

Ah, yes, I forgot about the Windows 98 USB woes.
