i went to Kellac.com and it said one set is 90 bucks (rank, name, service, majcom sewed on).

i think it's cheaper on base (including sew on)? the closest base with an AAFEA is in san antonio (i live in Houston). also i can't find any BDU's on the website, not to mention the site takes 3 months to ship.

I need to know if it's worth the 4-5 hour drive to save the money.

Also would it be a good idea to have my majcom sewed on already? or should i wait til i get on base?

i wanna get 3-5 set of BDU's depending on price.

now i regret not getting any BDU's when i went to buy my blues...but just the blues were like 400 bucks.

There isn't somewhere that you can go where they sew all that crap on for you? You may not, but I know of a place that does military uniforms, then again it's less than a mile from one of the gates to the base.

    3 month wait
no base around here, and i don't want to give my BDU's to some shop in town that has no idea what hey are doing.

i think i'll just drive up to san antonio...but it seems like a waste

I thought kellac was a good deal for the service you get
why do you need so many pairs of bdus? 4 pairs lasted me my first 4 years

:crying: You'll make that up in the first month of active duty, assuming you aren't a moron with your money.

I had about a ten minute wait to get a name tape sewn on because I'm good rooking. I probably would have had a one day turnaround if I needed to get a bunch of stuff sewn on.

Are you near Ellington Field? I'm from houston :)

Anyways I might be able to help you out. Sewing rank and patches are free here, and I could mail the stuff to you via usps. I would think a BDU set with everything sewed on is about $70 each but I'd have to double check.

Nah. I'm at Kadena AB now. They sew on rank, name tags, and patches for free here w/ dry cleaning, but i could find out how much it would be without the cleaning when I stop by today. I was just offering to help you out if I could by shipping it to you via usps. Not entirely sure how much money you would be saving since I don't know how much the BDU's are yet.
