My B&W photos look all overexposed in FB. I have PS and I just turn a photo to grayscale when I want to make it B&W. Is there a more FB-friendly way to make photos B&W? Below is the original, the grayscale and a link to how it shows on FB.

and there are MUCH better ways of doing B&W than grayscale. Try googling the channel mixer method

Read about the differences in gamma in both Apple monitors and Windows/PC monitors. Most online sites expect your gamma to be more inline with Windows which is brighter.

Yep, porn on the big screen. And it was a girl's 36th birthday party at her place :)

I just realized that FB must need some kind of color in the photo because this one came out fine http://tinyurl.com/yaaqogt

that was what I first noticed. the original photos should be ready for B&W conversion before expecting them to turn out great.

If the originals are underexposed then why does Facebook blow them out all overexposed? I was hoping to find somebody else on OTAP who has uploaded B&W to FB that didn't look like mine. I have B&W in all my FB folders that came out the same way :hsughno:

probably the B&W conversion and color space, rather than facebook doing anything.

Every photo i've uploaded has looked just fine (for an internet upload/display tool).

The issue isn't FB, it's you. Your B&W conversions above aren't good to begin with.
