    I have a P4 2.4GHz Intel on an Asus P4S8X board. I'm currently running 1 Kingston 512 DDR333 on it now...

I'm thinking of throwing in another 512. Will I notice a difference at all in response times, etc or is it something that I really won't notice a difference at all..

    In what application(s)?

If you benchmark, sure. If for every other general purpose tasks, highly doubtful. Execution of data however, large or small goes from the memory to the CPU then to the GPU.

It's basically general purpose. Most intensive thing I do on my computer is either Premiere, Photoshop (whop-de-do) or ripping/converting/encoding/burning DVD/VCD's. ;)

The Ripping/Converting/Encoding part sometimes lags my machine down pretty heavily... Sometimes to 95-100% CPU usage. :(
