Thought about it, but wanted to get some feedback from those know know.

Does 4.0 include real time rendering similar to Adobe Premiere 2.0? My multimedia class used premiere and not having to render the project when making small changes was such a time saver and FCE 3.0 requires you to render your clips when you make the smallest change.

If 4.0 renders in real time, i'll get the upgrade. If not, any other suggestions?

this isn't a rude response but what does that have to do with my question?

some .mpg files, DV from miniDV camcorder, .avi files, etc.

I did but I took it as real time editing with two different formats...they never really come out and say anything about editing any type of project in real time without rendering first except for this:

And I took this to refer to the effects, not overall useablility so I kept getting confused and wanted to ask first before I decide to drop $100 on it.
