what software solutions are out there so that at work, when a new version/piece of software comes out that I need to install on every PC, I don't have to walk to every PC to install it. I don't mean VNC, cause then I still would have to go to all 150 PCs to update the software. For instance, Adobe Acrobat Reader will have a new version, but due to our windows domain, adobe auto-updater won't update acrobat reader because it runs as the person that is logged into the PC, and they don't have administrator rights. same with firefox, thunderbird, etc.

I've found www.wpkg.org and like it, but just wondering what other alternatives are there out there?

Altiris, Wise, Installshield (both have enterprise app deplopyment solutions), Active Directory, SMS...

None (besides AD if you already have it) are really "cheap". I'm sure there is an open source alternative but I can't find it with a quick search.
