Is there a free utility, website, or etc. that will tell you that your drivers are out of date and where to download the new ones?

I have a Dell laptop and the drivers they provide on their website are old (1 year). I haven't been able to download SP1 for Vista because of my audio driver (SigmaTel). Help anyone?

The manufacturer of the compenent (not dell/hp/etc, but Intel/nVidia/etc) should have the latest drivers on their website.

don't bother with those utilities. most often,... as you said, they are outdated or worst, just fucks up the update.

find and update the drivers manually

SigmaTel doesn't have drivers on their website. They recommend going to the OEM's website... those lazy bastards.
