So for Escort's 9500ix software update, you have to use Windows. Zero Mac support. No problem as I have VM Fusion running Windows XP.

I install the software in Windows without problem. When I plug the detector in, Windows will not see any USB device. However, the Mac does see it and lists it in the System Profiler.

I assume that I need to un-mount the detector in OS X before Windows (via VM Fusion) can see it, yes? If so, how?!

    Thanks y'all!

    it's a setting in Fusion
open fusion, go to your virtual machine settings, and look for the USB check box, make sure that it's allowing windows to mount it and not osx

    Tried that...still a no go.

System Profiler sees the detector, VM only sees the Bluetooth USB Host, i-Sight and IR Receiver. All are connected and XP sees them, but will not allow the Detector to be "seen" by XP.

    Suggestions?!?!
