So I have a good friend that bought a new V600 less then 6 months ago, and is now being forced into transfering to Cingular because her dad's cell phone is being transfered and any ATT&T phones needs to be transfered.

Anyone have the inside on her not needing to buy a new phone?

cingular version of v600 had issues on 850mhz. if its an ATT branded v600 it will need to be unlocked. Some came unlocked i believe but not all. put a cingular sim in, if it asks for subsidy passcode you need to unlock it

You're probably going to have to take it somewhere to get it unlocked, since it's a Moto.
