    Anyone going to see it?

I wasn't going to see it, but I have changed my mind. I like that the director is making it a real time movie, 83 minutes for the 83 minutes of the ill-fated flight.

I think I'll see it. The cell phone calls that were played on the news were chilling.

i saw it yesterday and it was fanfuckingtastic. the theater was chills and silence throughout it. tears were rolling down and gasps were heard from everyone. even though you know what happens already, i was on the edge of my seat the whole movie, it was like everyone else in the theater had disappeared and i was the only one left in the place. a huge and great tribute to all involved that probably wont be well received because most people arent ready for it yet

i honestly don't know if i can bring myself to watch this movie. i'm sure it's good. hell, i'm sure that all the reviews are true and that it's amazing. i just don't know if i want to put myself through the emotional abuse of watching it.

yeah, when the movie ends, theres kind of like a moment of silence before the credits roll. it was dead quiet. you couldnt even hear the fat guy behind us breathing. it was utterly breathtaking

    just saw it

pretty damn good. very intense and makes you feel like youre part of the chaos. by how they do conversations in surround sound and how visuals are presented to the audience (like being able to see out the windows as the final struggle for the controls is going on) really puts all the events together perfectly.

youlle also root for the passengers to win and survive so bad while knowing it wont end well

I just saw it as well...as someone whos father worked in the world trade center for about 12 years + me growing up right outside of NYC it hit hard. People in in colorado really didn't seem to respond to it, I know I got teary eyed and my mom was sobbing (she was in town) at the end...the final scene, holy shit that was sick..

This movie reminds me of Open Water where they make a story about an event but everyone that was there is dead so they no clue what really happened.

Finally saw it last night, best movie of the year so far for me. I gave it a solid "A".

It must have been frustrating being an air traffic controller on that day. You control thousands of aircraft but you can't control this one. The military must have felt the same impotence.

Damn good movie, saw it today. Several time throughout the movie I became very frustrated. Frustrated with my government's inefficiency and ability to get things done. Like how all the departments had trouble talking to each other and they had the problems getting the military jets in the right direction. Crazy shit, I hope the government learned a lot from it all.

Im going to go see it, but if they are shown making cell phone calls at 30K feet in the air. I am going to start laughing and then proceed to dibelieve most of the movie.

Please explain? Most of the calls in the movie are made using the phones in the back of the seats.

And I think much of the flight, the plane is flying below radar levels.

It was interesting to see the terrorists as frustrated as the miltary people.

There is no service at 30k feet...believe me I always leave my cell phone on

Most of the cell phone calls were done at like 5000 feet, really low to the ground...everythign else was the phones in the seats.

Why is that? I realize phone calls were made but there is no way they know enough to make a movie. Most of the stuff that takes place on the plane has to be speculation.

I will be seeing it. I've heard good reviews of the movie so far.

I really hate the fact that the govt still has to keep learning by now....when will they ever be prepared. I can see how people may get frustrated with the depiction of the military in the movie.

Alot of evidence from the plane crash- one example; they found out the pilots door was smashed up with what looked like the beverage cart....which was place also inside of the cockpit when it crashed.
