Ok, someone helped me partition my HD and installed Windows 98 on it.

How do i uninstall it now? I can't seem to find the uninstall option in the remove program area and I do not have the disc.

I tried to format HD where windows is installed but it doesn't let me because it says something about HD being partitioned.

    ANYONE know?

you can't just "uninstall" windows. You'll have to either upgrade to a different version, or format and install a newer version fresh

back up all your data, format, install xp, restore your backup. It's the best way man. Upgrading is just not right all the time.

format thru dos. reboot in dos, and then you gotta tell it to format c: drive. it askes you in bold, ARE YOU SURE!!!!?!?? yes, yes you're sure. it'll wipe everything out, get back into bios, change the computer sequence so that the computer boots off of the D: drive first (assuming thats your cd-rom), pop a disk in, and away you go.

you don't need to do all that. just back up your data to some other medium, then format your drive at the beginning of the winxp install.
