When I uninstall a game or other proggy, do they leave any performance robbing traces like maybe something in the registry. I am always weary of installing games to try for a few days in fear that I will slow my computer when it is uninstalled. BTW, I used diskeeper WS to defrag almost daily.

You could always go through the registry yourself, but I definately don't recommend that to someone who doesn't know what they are doing. You'll find yourself reformatting and installing within minutes.

There are tons of registry cleaning utilities out there. Check them out on www.google.com or www.download.com
