I really want to learn the back story so I can better understand this storyline. I just started picking up the batman comics in this RIP line. It speaks and refers to some older instances with hypnotizing Bruce/batman and implanting something in his head.....

    Where should I start?

Also I do not know if it is allowed but does anyone have a torrent link to where I should read. I wouldn't mind having the rip series on my pc as well. I have I believe a majority of them already in the RIP series but im sure I missed some.

Maybe even a checklist of the current R.I.P storyarc involving all the Bat-books would be a good addition to this thread.

start from whenever morrison started writing.
it fills in a ton of the backstory.

    will be updating...

    Batman 655-658 - Batman & Son
663 - The Clown At Midnight (it's prose, so its up to you whether you want it or not)
    664 - 666 - The Three Ghosts of Batman
    667 - 669 - The Club of Heroes
    [Optional]Resurrection of R'as al Ghul 670-671, (+ 2 issues of robin, 2 of nightwing 2 of detective, I think)
    672 - 674 - Third Ghost of Batman
    675 - RIP Prologue
    676 - 679 RIP

Been reading Batman since Batman and Son and still the main RIP Batman story (which so far Detective Comics, Nightwing and Robin) almost have nothing to do with it and I'm still some what confused.

All I know for sure is some how he's on the streets and dressed as another version of Batman and he was addicted to Heroin/drugs and was talking to a dude that was dead for over a day. :hs:

Nope. Then they gang banged Alfred. So when she did that, that is what sent him off the deep end?

Man I just want the fucking Joker to get involved once again.

if you go back to the 3 ghosts of batman arc, that intros Dr. Hurt and talks about the isolation / hypnosis experiments.

then there's this black caselog where batman writes about that and stuff. (it was in rip #1, but it also pops in the robin rip tie ins.)

so basically, all the zurr en arrh graffiti was somehow subconciously infecting batman, then he got stabbed with whatever chemical, then when jet said it out loud that was finally the tipping point to activate the zurr en arrh persona (which Batman had prepared even before the Hurt experiments just in case).

but it looks like Hurt knew about it and was ready for it, making it even more :noes:
