I love the new 86" PLM umbrella from AB.

The light quality is very nice, smooth yet contrasty shadows, and the light source is very directional, however you can feather the edge to get a softer look if you so choose.

We were just messing around with this shot, CLS triggered. I would post a sample pic with a b800, but have to ask s14brent's permission first, sinc eits a picture of him.

yep it shields me from drinks lol.

the thing is, this thing doubles as an insta-shade. Too much sun out cant find some shade? Pop this fucker up and you are all set.

or if you had the white one, it could be used as a sun scrim.

dude the light quality for the price point is sheer bananas... Plus, it makes every monoblock atleast double in efficiency. Some people are seeing [email protected] at 15ft with a mere 320w/s, thats fucking incredible.

I had a dream about this umbrella last night. It wasnt even photography related but it did keep appearing in my dreams. The mind does some crazy things at night...
