My computer is attacked by internet popups everytime i powerup my computer. I thought that installing Google's pop up blocker would take care of the problem; but i have to run the install on the google bar everytime i boot up my browser because it disapprears everytime i restart my computer and its not in teh list of toolbars that I can select.

Its getting rediculous; I can't even get to off-topic all the time because it'll just be bombarded by popups and I can't even GET to OT unless I close everything.

What do I do to prevent this? Obviously soemthing is installed on my computer that I can't seem to get rid of. Norton's System works didn't take care of it, clearing the cookies and stuff didn't help. I went though my add/remove programs dialog box and I deleted EVERYTHING I do not use. It doesn't help. After clearing my cookies; and changing my start page to soemthing liek ot's website. If I restart my computer... it somehow changes my start page everytime to Blazefind.com... and it some how has changed my 404 Not Found page to some shit though it.

Please give me a plan of atttack guys; I need help.

    you
    have
    spyware / adware

    download ad-aware and run it
    download spybot and run it
    download hijackthis and run it
    download google toolbar again

    problem solved

You only need spybot, make sure its updated, and Spyware Blaster, with all updates, that needs to be updated every week (stops you from getting spyware in the future)

And stop going to seedy porn sites and downloading spyware/adware!:fawk:

    not necessarily

Spybot will normally catch everything, but I've had instances where Ad-aware picked up things that Spybot missed (and vice-versa)

i agree, anyway, mozilla is much better, mine is so much more stable than my IE ever was...and mozilla has an automatic popup blocker.
