i think a similar situation happened with koscheck. dude got to comfortable going in with telegraphed double-leg takedown attempts & caught a well-placed knee in the temple. lights out nukka :noes:

yeah seriously, I thought the whole time it just looked like your average sparring match, not two dudes going all out for the win. Every time either one would land a couple shots their corner would scream "KEEP GOING! PRESSURE! GO! THROW SOMETHING!!" and both would just back off and get back to the center of the cage. and Seth was using some very un-MMA technique... hook kicks, lots of un-setup high kicks, sticky palm instead of jab... looked like a lot of dude's I've sparred over the years of doing traditional (read: wimpy) martial arts.

did they say he beat Bob Sapp?

I dunno, Tanner was fucking hamburger by the end of that little flurry. Looked like a clear cut win to me.

Neither Seth nor dan listened to anything that their corner told them to do. It was pathetic.

I did think that Seth got a little more serious after he got (or walked into) the kicks in the balls from Dan.

:ugh: Tanner was done, He took tomany shots to the head, and if he couldnt have gotten Loiseau by RNC with the setup he had, he didnt deserve to win, he had 3 minutes to get a RNC with both hooks in on his back, with Tanners experience i was pretty dissapointed.

I actually really appreciated the solid defense from Dan and Seth. They blocked 90% of each other's strikes. Of course they really needed to get more aggressive though, especially Seth when it was clear that he had hurt Dan on several occasions. This I don't want to fight my friend thing is bullshit. You should want to kick your friend's ass more than anyone.

That was a weak armbar from Leben but he also showed how good he is at stuffing submissions. He was vulnerable too many times though. A better grappler could've put him away but the guy's never submitted before.

I was shocked that he didn't transition to an armbar or kimura, or for that matter use some kind of spine lock like the twister eddie bravo does. I was severly dissapointed in the lack of attacks tanner tried from the back.
