:uh: wax on rubber trim

    i waxed my car recently and after a few days.. i noticed some dried white wax on the rubber trim (weather stripping around the doors). How do i take it off?

    i think hes said that mothers back to black works..if its tough id try something like taking a small amount of simple green on a towel and scrubbing it off :dunno:

    First things first. Toss out the wax that left white residue on the trim. S100, Meguiars #26, Vanilla Moose or either one of the Pinnacle waxes will not haze trim.

    Warm peanut butter works best. Seriously. The oils in it effectively remove the hazing. Just scrub it in with an old toothbrush and wipe with a damp cloth.

    works great but it wont remove it permenantly

    What do you mean, it won't remove it permanently? It removes it temporarily? :rolleyes:

    :eek3: i did use #26 yellow wax. but i will give the peanut butter a shot, and keep you posted of the outcome. :bigthumb:

    yea i use the #26 yellow wax, noticed some white spots on the rubber part/side of car too, but its not that much
