it seems like everytime i get into the habit of eating right and working consistently, i get sick and then it takes me weeks to get back to where i was with the progress i made. :wtc:

Why wont you set a concrete goal, keep a log, and count your calories. Bitching about it wont help anyone. Your just going to be a flame magnet.

What do you mean by "sick"?

Yeah, I aknowledge my mistake, I missread your initial post. The best you could do is keep trying I guess.

I have a similar problem, I'll have a week long panic attack/anxiety where I have trouble eating ANYTHING at all. I'll end up losing about 10-15, it's hell on my ego.

Take my word for it, week long anxiety attacks.

Well i got up to almost 180 over the summer then got a real nasty cold and around the same time started working for electronic arts. so my diet turned to cheetos and mountain dew. I dropped all the way down to about 155. Then over the last 2 or 3 weeks I really got back into the going to the gym and eating 500 to 1000 calories over maintainence everyday. Then this week I get the flu out of no where.

After I get over this cold I plan on bulking all the way to about 200. Then for the first time in my life I'll try to cut and see how that goes.

edit: my starting point for that bulking contest was like 140 or 145 i think.

I feel you. I'm sick right now and had to stop running for a week because it was bad. It pisses me off because the night before I woke up sick I ran the farthest I've ever run and now it's like I have to ease my way back up again because I have a bad cough. :(

So you can remain consistent as long as everything in your life remains exactly the same and you're healthy.

Good luck making progress, because there will always be something...
