I installed XP sp3 from the Microsoft. Now, I have some problems which I do not know the cause of:
-I am unable to use search engines (wtf?); I can load the main page of google, but unable to carry out searches from yahoo or msn
-I am unable to access certain types of sites (facebook, myspace, certain boards)
-I can watch youtube videos, but I cannot access the site itself
-My ISP is not blocking websites; I use my schools ISP and one at home and both have the same problem
-Running Spyware Doctor with Antivirus comes up with no threats
-Problem is not specific to FF3 occurs in IE as well

So, anyone have a clue wtf is going on?

I would start with uninstalling SP3... I hope you let the SP3 setup archive your files.

I don't think so... I have it on my 2 XP machines and it runs fine...

If you just installed SP3 and are having problems, the first step would be to remove it to at least rule it out.

Try going into network connections and deleting the local area connection, and start over.

If you run a software firewall, download a new copy of it, delete the old one and reinstall it.

Do the network connection first, though.

    i have sp3, no problems.

got any firewall and other internet security software running?
disable it and see if changes anything.
note that some of them like ZoneAlarm and McAfee still has a bit of influence even if disabled. try uninstalling it to make sure.

    also check Internet properties settings.
