Seems like less than a year ago you'd still see people making 2k or less. 4k is still crap though.

  7. grice made 3k + 3k

Could you imagine going into a fight expecting to make 6K tops and walking with 46k?

    Good for those two guys.

    How?

That each athlete gets to negotiate their price using the leverage of how much experience and skill they posses?

Like, I dont know...the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB.

Yea, its a shitty system that no one else uses.:mamoru:

Plus the bonuses are getting off the hook.

  14. actually most (if not all) of the sports you just listed have strong players unions that ensure a minimum wage for the third-stringers.

it's because he is the most dominant Heavyweight in the world, no one can hang with him. his fight with Couture, it was all because Sylvia was coming off a back injury and that's it.

sylvia is by far the greatest MMA Fighter in the world

Franklins deal is notorious for being shitty and Vera is on a new contract.

Isn't Rich's deal like 9 fights for 45k to show 45k to win?

I can smile when its raining.
They're only overpaid babies because you aren't paid that much. They wouldn't be paid as much as they are if they didnt generate revenue for the team. We watch those 'overpaid babies' every week on TV and that generates money for the league.

They're paid what they're worth, and I have NO problem with them asking for more if they've earned it. Sure the working man is not going to feel bad for them, but baseball recovered and all those NFL players who hold out at the beginning of the season still have to play every week. They play, we watch, we tut tut, and then we watch.

Dana has taken care of him. Franklin has always said how extremely happy he is with how much he is making (back when he was getting 21).
