interesting to see Nate get paid $44k and the fight wasn't televised, sean salmon only getting $3k despite being half of the main bout, herring getting only $6k after coming from PRIDE and K1 backgrounds which pay a substantial amount more...

yeah, i agree. however, seeing how he almost got paid the same as Franca and Evans combined, or almost the same as everybody who lost combined, it's kinda sad...

interesting to see salmon get paid so little.

i fear that this may be the last we see of ross pointon. he just doesn't seem to have it at any weight. great attitude, not so great skills. :hs:

good to see nate getting paid !!! im pretty sure the ufc has some sort of first time 3K only fight salary.....still these numbers have been improving, at least in the PPV's..... hopefully the payouts keep getting bigger and bigger in the near future- those guys really deserve it.

side note: GSP signs new 6 fight contract with ufc-undisclosed as far as i know. hell be in the top 5 payed in the ufc.... crocop, chuck, tito,GSP & sylvia for now...
im sure if anderson keeps his belt( he will ) and sherk, they will get extended contracts.

fought on a torn MCL. despite his pathetic showing, he's proven to be a good fighter coming into the bout

I like Herring. He was one of my Fav's back in the day. Tho he looked like BALLS at UFC. I still doube he would go from Pride pay days to 6k. Thats fuckin crack head desperate money for someone of his history and calaber.

It was spike's decision to not show the fight on television. If it was up to Dana, they would've shown it.

Sorry dude but you're info. is wrong.

    http://ufcjunkie.com/2007/01/14/insider-lister-vs-marquardt-decision-was-spike-tvs-not-ufcs/

Not only that but my boxing coach (who is Nate's boxing coach) told me that it was SpikeTV who made the decision a week before the event was aired. So unless you can get any more credible sources closer than that, I'll stick with my original statement.

I really hope the payout for Herring is innaccurate. For a guy with his history and skill, and how much they have hyped him, i can't imagine him getting paid so little.

I know he is no Rampage, but I am sure he is gonna make a HELL OF A LOT more then Herring did if those numbers are accurate. :\
