It is rumored, but according to this UFC 74 could have Sherk v. Franca AND Couture v. Cro Cop/Gonzaga. Talk about making my money's worth. Hopefully it'll make up for the A. Silva v Lutter card which kind of blew.

    http://ufcjunkie.com/2007/04/15/report-sherk-vs-franca-moved-to-ufc-74-couture-to-defend-on-same-card/

Add to this that GSP may fight on this card. He asked to fight ast UFC 73, but the UFC might prefer him to fight at 74 instead.

    Crocop vs. Couture

Randy should retire right now and just let everybody fight for the belt.

As for Randy/Mirko, I think it is going to be a lot close than most people think. Randy isn't going to try to stand w/ Cro Cop like with Tim, b/c all things considered Tim is a striker but he is about 1/4 of the striker that Cro Cop is.

Randy's wrestling is great from the clinch, Mirko fights better from the outside. Its up to their camps to come in with a solid gameplan to nullify their opponent's strengths. Couture is, if anything, a great gameplanner. Lets just hope he doesnt do the weaving he did against Sylvia because hes gonna eat a kick to the head and it'll be over.

I think I'm going to the Sherdog approach and not make predictions anymore, mostly because we tend to overhype fighter's abilities and forget that 1 fight is 15/25 minutes of 2 men in a cage, and we forget it because we have like a month between fights with nothing to watch but TUF.

Sherk got injured right after he won the belt, or he had surgery I think I remember hearing on the Beatdown.

I remember reading somewhere that you have to defend your title at the very least once every 6 months to retain it? It seems like its been longer than that, or at least will be by the time UFC 74 rolls around.

Frank Mir got into a motorcycle accident and was gone for a year... Sherk had Rotator cuff surgery and I dont think he'll be out for that long.

Good to see GSP wants back in the ring quickly, hopefully he doesn't pull a Louiseau and lose all his confidence.

KOS? With the winner getting a shot at the winner of Hughes/Serra?

    Who knows...

God I hope we get to see Mir vs. Nogueira

I know you guys lost alot of faith in Mir, but I think the next time around he's going to be 10x better than he was back then. From what I hear he's been training hard for his next match, and looking damn good.

   Just like Mir was training so hard for his fight against Vera? Mir is a nobody, he doesn't deserve another shot in the UFC.

If Randy tries for a take down by going for a single or double leg there is no way he will take Mirko down, however if he gets in the clinch and goes for a trip like he did Tim, then he should be able to take him down fairly easily, and once it's on the ground there is a good chance Mirko will get submitted. You guys who are counting Randy our are foolish.

Go watch a few videos of people trying to submit Mirko, it's not like he's completely useless once a fight goes to the ground.

I'm looking forward to seeing Randy surprise everyone again. The guy is just a machine. I wouldn't be surprised to see him win a decision. I don't think that he'll submit or ko Crocop but I do think that he'll bring his A game.
