My only problem with this card is that Sakara is on the main card versus some new guy instead of Diaz, otherwise it's easily one of the top cards of the year.

But then again, it's not like Pride never had a one dimensional boxer fight on the main card or anything, oh wait, they did...Nishijima. :)

Yes, entertaining...mostly because they put him up against someone totally incompetent.

Next up for Shockwave 2006...Minowa versus a large fighter with a very limited skill set and poor conditioning again.

Until I see the full Pride NYE card, I'm going to wait and see before I make my decision on which is gonna be the best card of the year.

I like Sakara, but I don't think he should be on the televised card just yet. Fight Night free card definately, but not a PPV. I wouldn't say he's a one dimensional fighter, hasn't he been training his JJ down in Brazil with the Nog brothers?

i thought it was a really good fight :dunno:

lytle did awesome with his takedown defence, and when he finally did end up on his back he nullifyed serra very well. serra did a good job of keeping inside and not letting lytle use him as a punching bag.

the fact about that fight is neither guy did what they are good at well in the fight. neither looked like they deserved a title fight let a lone a fight with a top 5 contender. I am glad Serra won though
