    GSP
    Franklin
    Diego
Swick (don't know anything about vignealt)
    Yves
    Florian
    Macdonald
    Midoux

Apart from the first two fights this card is pretty much mediocre,
i hardly know who anyone is on this card and even the ones that i do, i know by seeing them lose on TUF.

I've got all the fights ending with who you said.

The first two fights are gonna be amazing so I would espect the other fights to be mediocre.

There's a lot of people agreeing with me.

Is this because no one has actually bothered to post up the card at the top.

    Rich Franklin vs David Loiseau
    Nate Marquardt Vs. Joe Doerksen
    Mike Swick Vs. Steve Vigneault
    Yves Edwards Vs. Mark Hominick
    Kenny Florian Vs. Sam Stout
    Rob MacDonald Vs. Jason Lambert
    Tom Murphy Vs. Christophe Midoux
    Diego Sanchez Vs. John Alessio

Well that's one less victory for the US. I really hope BJ wins, although I really like GSP as well.

Drag On has money on Penn, he knows Penn will lose but just doesn't want to face the reality... That's too bad....

    GSP and Penn are pretty even in skill match up, one may be better then the other in certain areas but GSP has two things that will put him above Penn's arrogance;

1.) work ethic/energy in the ring

    2.) game plan

I think every fighter plans their fight by watching video's of their opponent but GSP claims that is one of the biggest parts of his fight. He goes deeper then most in my opinion which will give him the competitive advantage in this fight. Penn has already said he is having a hard time looking past this fight, and that will be the reason GSP takes him out. Historically if you looked at each guys past Penn should be scored higher pre fight with his experience speaking for itself. I don't like that vegas odds for one put GSP more favorable then Penn. I think GSP is the underdog, but I still think he will win. He wants it worse if nothing else.

Honestly Im not looking forward to this one so much, the only fight im really interested in is the Franklin Loiseau fight and maybe the Swick fight other than that im in agreement with the person that said it was a mediocre card.

i read it was because of him being overly dehydrated, so the doctors wouldn't let him fight

you can pick this matchup apart forever, but it's way too close of a call still. despite everything you said, penn is better standing and on the ground than GSP, but there are lots of other factors that has to be considered as well

    It seems as though there is someone or some people every PPV event that say;

"Oh, this card is pretty lame, I am probably not going to watch it because it won't be that fun."

What the hell kind of card are you looking for that is "REALISTIC?" Either you don't understand MMA or you don't understand who business works but quit the crap.

This is a great card just like most are, 1 or 2 big fights to attract people who only know names from hearing people talk and then 6-8 other fights to introduce other fighters to the mainstream. Obviously you don't know any of the other fighters because your comment indicates your a PPV fan, not one every other day of the week. All of these fighters are good fighters and good entertainers. Dana does a great job exactly the way it needs to be done (for the most part).

You can not expect to put 10 BIG NAME fights in ONE PPV event, it doesn't make any sense. What makes people want to watch the next one if every good fighter fought in the last one. Penn is making a come back, that is a HUGE fight. Franklin is finally fighting someone at his calibur. If Diego hadn't got sick his fight would be great. They are bringing LW back in this event, that is a HUGE deal.
So tell me, what COULD they do different that make you more interested?

This is especially ironic given Pride's latest event.

:mamoru: what are you, a TUF noob?

Penn actually had Pulver in an armbar in the 2nd round and Pulver tapped from it, Pulver was saved by the bell.

As for Uno... uhh.. its obvious you haven't even watched the 2nd match, it was considered a draw but BJ Penn clearly won that one. EVERYONE who has SEEN the match agrees that BJ won that match.

Try not just to look at Sherdog's fight finder next time, BJ is legit and like his nickname "A Prodigy" but that doesn't mean GSP is no can either. Its going to be a great fight on Saturday.

    How so?

    Pedro Rizzo
    Quinton Jackson
    Big Nog
    Josh Barnett
    Shogun
    Coleman
    Hunt

Are just to name a few.

All were champions at one point or another, I would like to see a UFC event with that many former champions in one event, even one event considered "crappy" compared to the other Pride events.

Some people read fighter articles, like myself. Unlike you I don't just use my "MMA creative thoughts in my posts", and if I had the time I would make life even easier for you by posting the articles where these fighters say these things however I will have to allow you to exercise your fingers and look up the articles yourself haha.

Pride having 10 great fight cards, PFFT:mamoru:

Let me guess, you think WWF is interesting too

Who did Rizzo fight? Who did Jackson fight? Who did Nog fight? Who did Hunt fight? I guess you would think this card was better if instead of GSP and Penn fighting against each other, they just fought a couple of cans. :mamoru:
