Liddell rules, Coture rules, Frank Trigg must have nightmares of the rear naked choke

Best part about the evening was Tim Silvia's fatass claiming to be 11%

first two rounds were pretty nice though. You could tell that chuck wanted to just punish him, plus he wanted no part of him on the ground. Horn has some fucking balls though, I'm sure once he drops back down in weight he'll start beating the shit out of some people

    Chuck Liddell > Jeremy Horn
Lidell hit Horn w/ some bombs in the both the first and second rounds. Horn gets stuck in the eye 4th round and calls it quits because he can't see anymore

Randy Couture > Mike Van Arsdale
Fuckin awesome match. Two great wrestlers against each other. Arsdale taps

    Diego Sanchez > Brian Gassaway
One sided fight. Sanchez grounds and pounds. Took 2 decent shots while shooting the second round, but dude tapped as he was getting pound w/ Diego in the mount

Frank Trigg < Georges St. Pierre
St. Pierre totally dominated. Trigg had no chance, Pierre wins by rear naked choke

    Tim Sylvia > Tra Telligman
Sylvia claims to be 11% bodyfat........Take out Telligam with a wicked kick to the head for the knockout

    Matt Lindland > Joe Doerksen
Decision to Lindland, nice ground action

I think there were 2 other fights, didn't catch them though

Liddell was just toying with Horn so badly after the first knockdown, it was ridiculous. He could have wiped him out 2 minutes in. Never knew Chuck was so merciful!

Yay for Diego, he's a local guy. I work with his cousins.

His cousin Curtis was telling me how Diego holds him down in training to prep for punches. Diego starts raining shots down while yelling at him, "Keep your eyes open! You wanna see it coming, you wanna taste it! You wanna feel it in your bones, keep your eyes open!"

So yeah, Curtis shows up to work two weeks after he began training, "Look what they did to my teeth!", and excitedly shows me his now two chipped teeth

    It's good times.

    My thoughts on the fight:

Jeremy Horn is my new favorite fighter (well probably a tie with Enson Inoue). I have never respected a fighter's heart, class and professionalism as much as I did Horn's during that fight. Some of the best fighters in the world have crumbled when Chuck has dazed them. Horn never did....just amazing.

Chuck is really fucking unbeliveable right now. I definately think it is time for a Liddell v Rampage II or Liddell v. Silva match. I honestly think Chuck has hit that level where Bas Rutten and Mo Smith were. Good enough at defending the takedown to keep any fight standing and good enough striker to end anyone on their feet.

    other fights:

Randy Couture: Holy shit....his wrestling skills and conditioning are just phenominal. He and Van Arsdale did the most tiring thing you can do in an MMA match and that is scramble.....and they did it for a couple rounds straight....I saw Randy kept going back to the north south and I wondered why, this being ufc and not pride. Randy then showed why he is the most well diciplined and smartest fighters in the sport. He softened Van Arsdale up with the knees to the shoulders and then he went for the anaconda choke....the one a lot of people have been trying sine Nogueira used it. It didn't work the first time, so what does Randy do? He keeps his composure and works back to that north south again and agian.....finally he goes for the anaconda again as he feels Van Arsdale is too week to defend....beautiful victory for Couture....awesome fight by Van Arsdale.....a full on wrestling clinic by both of them.

Mat Lindland puts me to sleep like usual, he has a very similar style to the guy I just fought. They used a good word to describe that style: smotherer...he tends to smother his opponent, and through great wrestling skills he will score dominant position for most of the fight but neither fighter really gets damaged all that much.
