so GSP has a cut on his head (as evident in tonights primetime) you think that will play a factor? Hardy reopen it and work it some to possibly get a TKO/Doctor Stoppage?

Posted this in a different thread...

MMA is one of the most unpredictable sports there is. And i have been wrong before. But I see no way Hardy beats GSP, or even makes it a close fight. His striking is being hyped up so much going into this to make it seem he has a legit shot at winning. Not to say he doesnt have a shot(see GSP vs Serra).

Yes he has good stand up and he can hit very hard, but people making it sound like he is a WAY better striker than GSP is stupid.

1 KO in 4 fights in the UFC
2 split decision wins out of the 4

    Win Mike Swick Decision (Unanimous)
    Win Marcus Davis Decision (Split)
    Win Rory Markham KO (Punch)
    Win Akihiro Gono Decision (Split)

I wounldnt consider any of these guy elite fighters.

Hardy MAYBE has the edge on the feet. If he does I would consider it a slight edge. GSP holds big advantages in wrestling and Jiu jitsu. I see this a typical GSP fight. He will take him down, work GNP, and either get a stoppage or sub him.

but hey thats the great part of the sport you never know what the hell is going to happen, and it only takes one solid shot to end it.

Cant wait for all the upcoming events

in other words, I see it like this...

I think there is only one was Hardy wins. If he can catch GSP with a big shot just like Serra did.

There are numerous ways GSP can win.

    111 is a great card. Cant wait:bowdown:

    On a completely unrelated note...

watching his fight again against Yoshida right now on unleashed. How awesome would a Jon Jones, Anthony Johnson fight be?

He already walks around at 200 so I don't think he'd have much trouble getting up there.

It goes without saying though that a jump to MW would be more realistic and maybe his only move after Doomsday whoops his ass.

    What?

What Johnson walks around at, and what Jones cuts to is not that far off.

Not saying this will, or even should happen. Just saying how if these two got in a cage together, it would be awesome to watch.
