    I support him. I think the lack of free speech in political matters in the military is kind of sad

    People confuse this matter too much.

    "I, FirstName LastName, dislike President Obama" (Protected as Free Speech)

    "I, Major LastName, dislike President Obama" (Prohibited under Article 134 and others of the UCMJ)

    Enlisted soldiers are not prohibited from making these same level of statements because it only applies to officers.

    Now, with that said - you are generally prohibited from doing much of anything in uniform WRT political activities and/or anything that could be perceived as casting a bad light on the military.

    Solution: take the uniform off.

    Just to add onto this...

    There are some videos of soldiers in full ACU, protesting. At the time of the video, the soldiers had already been discharged. FYI..
