some people cant be kneebarred. this guy at my gym told me his last instructor just let everybody try annd kneebar him. he didn't even defend, but nobody could even get him close to tapping.

I don't consider myself a BJJ expert, but my knowledge of human anatomy and biomechanics tells me that basically anyone can be kneebarred. Maybe those people weren't able to use their body's effectively enough to execute it. A proper kneebar is that one joint against your entire body straightening out, and if you are capable enough, you can break their leg or dislocate their knee, no matter who they are.

    I agree.

Even if he knee can hyper extend(my girlfriends elbows do it. you have to really arch to arm bar her) you just have to keep going, eventually the knee stops going backwards and then it will pop.

Not to be a keyboard warrior or anything since I don't fight but the reason he didn't tap the guy before he put it under his armpit was because his body was almost entirely straight when applying the kneebar (this doesn't put pressure on the knee but just pulls out the leg) And after he curled up a little more and put it under his armpit, the other guy was able to get just enough of his leg out so that the pressure was not directly on the knee but just below it.

lol and again this is just my opinion of why I think the guy didn't tap, no flames please!

After the fight he said that once he saw there was 30 seconds left, that there was no way he was going to tap.

What did you expect me to say? I was trying to explain why is basically impossible in almost all circumtsances to be unvulnerable to a perfect kneebar. :ugh2:
