I'm just curious what infantry guys do all day when not deployed, is it mostly training? What's the rundown of a typical day?

Not trying to start a clusterfuck, just wondering :hs:

that is somewhat of a typical day, but do realise you will be out in the field (woods) training for at least 2 weeks a month or so.

I always wonder as well. My buddy is in the 82nd but he never really gives a clear answer of what goes on. I think they just go play video games in the barracks :)

For those in the Q-Course: If you are awaiting training you have PT at 6am, come back at 9am for accountability, then come back at 1pm for accountability again and you are gone. Very nice :)

If you are in training you are either out at Camp Mckall or here on Bragg. Right Phase 3 we meet up at 6am for PT with our ODA unless we happen to be heading out to the ranges. If we are in the classroom we show up at 9am for class. Get off around 11:30-12pm for lunch and come back at 1pm. Then we are off anywhere from 3-6pm. Not too bad.

Language school runs either 7am-2pm or 2pm-7pm depending on which portion you are in. Once again.. Not too bad.

so they are important because they train all the time and we might or might not need them? though other people in the military actually do a job and have to train and be ready.. we provide all kinds of stuff to all other branches

just funny how we are called unimportant.. its just funny...

you guys do know that there is an air force capt that always wins the all army and all marine marathons, not always but he has won a whole bunch.. he is a contracting office too, I cant tell you how much more office bitch work that is
but the man can run and I had the chance to meet and work with him during the way over in saudi.. he was a great guy

but us air force guys cant run because we werent born with legs, we just attach a chair to us and we spin around all day drinking coffee and checking email.
