Did it take for you to receive your PIN and eventually your License?
You might get it as a Christmas present
I'm on day 67 from the day they received my app...had my PIN for a couple weeks now
I was under the impression the state no longer accepted perosnal checks.
That being said I mailed my app 3 months ago, received my pin a month ago, website says its still pending.
When I took the class the instructor told us all to expect a 6 month wait. Im honestly just trying to forget about it and hoping to get a nice surprise 3 months from now in the mail.
jebus, 6 months? pa law is 45 days.
Sent mine in about 3 months ago, got my pin right away but the website has never been updated so all it says is "mailed packet to applicant" ftl.
fuck, thats what i was thinking.. ohwell, its nice to get a surprise in the mail.
Sorry man, it was 62 days for me, and that was back in 07 before all the craziness hit.
Sent mine in on April 24th. Still waiting.
Status Check using pin on the online sites still shows Processing Application.
I renewed last may and it took less than a month. But I assume that has very little to do with new applicants.
im currently in austin right now getting my certification for being an instructor, once that is all wrapped up, if any WMDer's need a renewal, RENEWAL CLASS, i can hook em up for free or somethin if everyone does it at once. you'll just have to pay range fee and get your pics done at CVS.
oh and i needa do it at someone's house too.
yes, renewal class only, free by me, get your own photos and pay range fee. at someone's house.
TX law is 60 days for new applicants, problem is they have been so hammered with applications since last October or so they just can't physically keep up. They hired extra people to help but even that hasn't been enough and they don't have the budget to hire more (CHL money goes into the state general fund and not direct to DPS)
Mine was due to expire this past Sunday, I did my renewal in early March and got my new license barely over a week before it expired. I suggest to anyone needing a renewal to do it as soon as you get within the 6 month window.
pa law is 45 days like I said, we're getting slammed too but i'm not sure how badly. I got mine in 15 days in the mail.
God damn dont even get me started at the retards at TX DPS.
Mine took ~10months
First time it got sent back because I didnt have a copy of my orders showing I was in the Army, even though the dumb cunt on the phone told me all I needed to do was send in a copy of my military ID (also love how they dont put anything on there website about it)
Second time it got sent back because "I owed property taxes" even though it was my dads not mine which he paied two years ago (Hey who cares about social secuirty numbers or birthdays)
Third time it got sent back because it was showing I got charged with a Felony for family assault, which was a case of my dads and was dropped (Social security number and birthrate anyone?)
Fourth Time it got sent back saying I owed Child Support even though they had put in the wrong social security number.
Finally after the fifth time I got my CHL about 9 and half months later
Oh the funny part is I sent them a letter complaing and than they sent me one back saying they would refund my money?! It was already free
Just had to bump this to share my pleasure:
Just checked today after about 4-5 days. This is for Hood County and and the packet was received by the DPS on 4.14.09. So that puts time before approval somewhere around 78 days.
MOTHERFUK!! i just got a letter from the dps and they said that my fingerprints arent good enough and that i have to get them done again..
I saw a smudge on one of the prints when i first got them but the hillbilly assured me that they would pass... Now i gotta get a new set and mail them in.
I put my app in feb 23rd and i still have not received my pin.
Just got the plastic in the mail today
