It was storming pretty bad here in ATL tonight, so I ran over to the photo lab and grabbed the hot light kit (all we have :wtc:) and took messed around. Got some okay results. First time using real studio lights (if you can call them that).

Anyways, I'm not attached to them so tear them apart.

#2 doesn't really do anything for me, but #1 i like a lot. I think it's a tad overexposed though. Just about losing detail in the edge of the pages in the face-down book. Otherwise, the composition is good, i like the mono-chrome look and the lightings pretty decent (although it could be a bit more interesting).

    Good job!

And this one - I can seem to get the color of the backdrop just right. It looks a little pinkish - any suggestions?

#1 would have been  if it said "all that shit" instead of "words"

I'm originally from Peacthree City but go to school in Milledgeville. I'm transferring to UGA or GA State soon though.

The lights belong to my school. They are Hot Lights. Not my preference, but okay for what they are. I think the MSRP on the kit on lowels website is like $835 or something - full kit with case, stands, etc.

How did you like GSU? I'm thinking of transferring, but I really want to transfer to UGA.

    I liked GMC better

I've had a lot of dick teachers here, but also there are more students here that don't want to be here than there were at GMC that didn't want to be there. you might have that at GCSU, too, but Milledgeville is more relaxed, anyway.

the worst part about GSU for most people would probably be the commute. campus is in the middle of the city, and even the dorms are miles away. it's nothing like GCSU where you can just walk from dorms to classes in a few minutes. I walk like half a mile from the GSU parking deck to get to my nearest class. I'm only 2 miles away, but I drive. This is the first semester I've done that instead of walking and riding MARTA. MARTA isn't bad, unless you have to take a bus as well. If you have to catch a bus to get to a train station it's incredibly time consuming. I gotta figure 40 mins to an hour to get from here to class.. 2 miles away. I often walked the 2 miles home cause it would take less time.

depends on your major, really, though. I'm glad I came to GSU, and I have had several really great professors that I wouldn't mind keeping in touch with. since you're already past the basic BS classes, like I was when I came back from GMC, it should be great.

I would have liked to attend UGA after GMC to stay in another college town, but GSU was probably better for me in the end.
