    made the 12 hour trek in a media navigator to road atlanta with a few buddies, audi hospitality, and credentials in tow. within the first hour at the track i was in the passenger side of a 997 gt3 and going 150 in the back straight. my weekend was already set in my mind. but then there were the motorsports that begged to be shot. here's two of them

    not bad. could use a bit of unsharp mask - it looks a little soft.

    i'm pretty sure the shutter speed was on purpose.

    cant get madd panning action by speeding up the shutter spd.

    Oh yeah that makes sense if he wants the background like that. Oh well I guess you just gotta perfect the technique.

    i think its a pretty good technique.. he kept the car in focus and the background blurred ..

    I'm no photography expert, but wtf? first, you dont need to turn up the ISO to up the shutter speed on a sunny outdoor shot. and lastly, I think he set the shutter speed at 1/49 to show motion so that the car doesnt look like its parked...
