Okay, first; how do you tell the computer to associate .pdf files with acrobat? I have acrobat on the computer (I'll be getting Creative Suite 2 premium shortly :) ) and when I try to open a file on the internet, it asks me what program I want to open it with, and my only option is preview. When I download a .pdf file, it won't associate it with Acrobat unless I tell it to :( Preview sucks.

Second, and I guess this question would be best answered by a black macbook owner....how do I clean it properly. I know this may sound like a stupid question, but how do I do it safely. It seems to be a bit more fingerprint-prone than my old Toshiba. I tried once with toilet paper and just water, but that seems to just spread out whatever I am trying to clean. Any mild cleaners that would be safe?

    Thanks :)

I'm loving this thing more and more every day!

Okay, will that just associate that one file, or all files? I'm want to make my mac open all .pdf files with Acrobat.

okay, and one more, for a total of 3 questions

Anti-Virus programs? Necessary or no? I was told by a friend with a mac not to worry about it, but the idea of running a computer without some kind of anti-virus program seems like the equivalent of fucking a Thai hooker without a condom....absolutely absurd.

I also have heard a few cases of viruses for Macs lately.

    What's your opinion?

just a preference, ditch the Adobe Acrobat program and use either Safari to open your .pdf's or preview. I have the safari plug-in so it just opens it in another browser window. i hate hate hate adobe's acrobat.

...and as far as acrobat is concerned, I'm used to it

The air force used acrobat for most of their documents before going to the pure edge viewer (which I am anxiously awaiting the release for mac) and I have gotten used to it. I actually prefer Acrobat.

Instead of everyone sackriding preview, which he already expressed he didnt like, heres where you can change the default app to open the program:

select a PDF file and choose get info as posted above...

Changing the drop down is the associattion for that specific pdf. Hitting "change all" changes the default app to open that type of file.

i dont like preview because when im viewing a pdf with multiple pages, it doesnt let me scroll down. I have to click on the next page. It's kind of annoying.

If all of one page can be seen, scrolling moves between pages. If you cant see all of one page, scrolling scrolls the page up or down.
