Went downtown last night, about a year after the first time I went. I felt the first pic was good, but wasn't spectacular. Went back, found a different spot, incorporated a foreground object, and shot at a smaller aperature to get the star effect on the lights. I feel it was an improvement.

EDIT: I toned it down a bit :o

i like how the bridge in pic #2 juts out more. it has more of a imposing presence in pic#2. however, i like the subdued lighting in pic#1 more...#2 seems too bright.

I like the 2nd shot nicely -- it adds a good counterbalance to the bridge on the right side of the picture. Nice! Subtle but def. an improvement.

#2 is a definite improvement, though I prefer the cooler color balance of #1.

can easily be adjusted. I'll play around with it a bit. I sort of thought the same thing

Nice work. I like #2 but like others have said, I'd tone it down a little and see what else you can do in the PP.

Am I the only one that thinks the 1st one looks a lot clearer and less star like? I can make things out in the 1st where it just looks unclear in the 2nd...:dunno:
