Two over head press questions

    Do you guys prefer to hold your hands at regular bench press width or the width you use for your close grip bench press?

    Which width do you think you can press the most with and which width do you get the most benefit for your bench pressing strenght from?

    it's very difficult to overhead press with a widegrip like you would use on bench.

    Do you think it will help your bench more if you hold it wider?

    definitely wider than close grip bench, but besides that I go for what is most comfortable for me in the motion

    I did overhead press today and the most natural width for me was about an inch from the smooth.

    close grip hit the tri's more
    the wider the grip the more the chest is used.

    Yeah I always go wide on overhead press to work my chest more.

    Me too, except I usually lay down flat on a bench, and actually end up pressing the weight perpendicular to my body. :rofl:
