    Increasing the number of official fights from three to five for the first round of PRIDE's 16-man Open Weight Grand Prix, PRIDE announced on its Web site Wednesday two additional matches.

    Fight card:
    Alistair Overeem vs. Fabricio Werdum
    Kazuyuki Fujita vs. James Thompson
    Mirko Filipovic vs. Ikuhisa Minowa
    Aleksander Emelianenko vs. Josh Barnett
    Hidehiko Yoshida vs. Yosuke Nishijima

    It's shaping up to be a good GP... in the finals. The beginning isn't too inspiring.

    and i'd think that since mark coleman thinks he's such a badass now, that'd he take part in this.

    I don't know.... Overeem is pretty good at submissions, and has great defense.

    yeah i dont know either.. but i know id like to see it. its hard to pick werdum with confidence after overeem destroyed sergei

    yeah, but you also have to factor in that overeem was at his regular weight (~225lbs I think) and didn't have to cut to 205... I think cutting makes him gas a lot easier somehow, and against a guy like Werdum who is especially skilled in BJJ I think that spells trouble.


    Will be a cool fight.
