    Yo...

So, received my Pioneer Premier P8DVD from Showrides on Friday, modified my truck dash on Saturday and installed...

    It looks pimpin...

    How it used to look...

That "Dakota" slideout cup holder just so happened to be the EXACT size of a single DIN cage :). Also, the dash is WIDE OPEN behind it!

    YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pimpin, I love it! The P8DVD is a dead head, has RCA audio out that inputs into my 9835. All volume and processing is handled by my Alpine 9835. :)

    Comments?

creative use of a cupholder = 10 points in my book, but maybe use a trim ring to fill in the gaps. those door pods look like they come out too far for my taste, i don't think my legs would ever fit in there. :o

Ha ha, indeed. I have some ABS laying around that is going to be put to good use to fill the gaps on either side ;).

Door pods, they've been there for 1.5years... and no problems yet (even w/o grills... ::knocks on wood:: ) The part most people have to get used to is entering and exiting... once your sat down, they're not bad. I have plenty of room :).

Now, my buddy Jason's pods... they are HUGE. Literally .55cubes on his door. If you're familiar with b-body caprices at all, they take up the entire pocket and more... :(. He's porting his mids... nuts.

    w00t. :)

yeah those pods do come out pretty far, but like you said, just something to get used to, unless somebody sits weird you can probably get away with massive kicks, ill be building mine soon enuf

I like the idea, but can you even view the screen clearly?

Yup, it'ss great so far with music videos. Some movies with darker scenes is... eh... but it's not really for me to watch while driving anyways...

    Passengers love it! ;)

I think, I would of moved all the A/C controls ect. and put it in there...
Seems a bit out of place to me there. Looks good tho!
