Two fucking weeks out and I break my god damn finger

    FUCK! I was working up to my opening and second attempt squats today. When reracking 465 (first attempt) my back squatter was trying to help me get it into the rack and I ended up smashing my pointer finger on the rack. I ended up hitting a pr right after that (500lbs) but soon as the adrenaline wore off I was in pain and was pretty sure something was wrong. Went to the hospital and they confirmed it was broken and put it in a splint and gave me a pain script. I asked the doc about lifting at my meet and he said he didn't advise it but said that I could talk to the orthopedics doc to see what is doable. I have the worst fucking luck..

    sucks man. Were you using a monolift? I wonder if you can just squat at the comp?

    The meet director is my coach so at the least I will squat, maybe bench, and take a token deadlift just to get a 500lb squat on the books. Considering I'm way overweight for the 220's at the moment and don't feel like cutting weight anymore I figure I may as well just have fun.

    no.. i squat with my hands out far so when my back squatter pushed me into the rack my finger got smashed. I tuck my pinky so thats why my pointer finger was the one to get the impact.

    thats sucks so bad man!

    hopefully it can either heal fast or be situated u can still lift

    everytime I look at my finger I want to toss my fist into someone's face. I am going to see if I can still hold onto the bar without using my ring finger after the swelling goes down.

    Deadlifting could be a problem. Bench Press shouldn't be a problem as well with a little finess.

    Might be able to bench.. I'll try it when the swelling and pain goes down
