Shouldn't of been allowed to happen. Even the smallest thing could lead to a perception of favortism by the other trainees. It's unprofessional and know matter what measure are taken it will be detrimental to training.

His brother did have contact with him, and was unprofessional in his actions. Think he went to the other DI's to make sure any of the other injured or sick recruits were doing OK, and to ask the DI's to take care of them?

Pvt. Harjay Lacanilao was welcomed to recruit training by his older brother, Sgt. Harvey Lacanilao, a drill instructor in his company.

Harvey did have the opportunity to inspect Harjay's uniform however, and he would ask his brothers drill instructors about his progress in training.

When the company traveled to Weapons and Field Training Battalion, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Harvey noticed Harjay was favoring his ankle. He told Harjay's drill instructors to make sure his little brother was all right.

He's not a supply DI. That's his brother that went supply. And I don't know how you guys do it down at your unit but we're fucking swamped up here at HQ. I want to transfer to the Wing because of this shit.
