Feels good man.
jesus. is that 2, 7A's hanging off of that thing?
want. alot. plz
what else are you gonna use to hold the lightstand down? sandbags? pfft.
meh, their corporation pays for it and its a tax deductible business expense
i would do the exact same, but have a 3rd so the person could stand on it
ballin' out of control
another reason I'd want to be a j. crew photographer (re: dream job thread)
there's an old school blue pocket wizard in there too
spend $10k on a pack and then choose to use a regular umbrella ?
Technically that's a "C-stand".
only a century-old dude would know its name
That's because I've used these damn things for the past 30 years. Speaking of century....I'm sure you know that that is the name of the company than makes them, hence the term "C" stand.
So educate me. Why $10,000?
packs + heads = pro = more than jcoleman can afford
modularity with different heads / modifiers
large caps + electronics which give very fast recycle times and in better units very precise control for flash power over duration (which can be also be faster) to minimise changes in output chroma
did i mention they look pro?
I see. But geez...10,000 for a single one. Thats some serious money.
And yes. They look 'pro'
don't forget you need a head + some cables to make it work, and some kind of modifier to make it useful
You could shoot bare bulb I have a friend (really more of an acquaintance) who does a lot of car photography and shoots bare bulb all the time.
but without a head you dont have a bulb.
Right right. I was talking more about the whole "light modifier" thing
That's alot of work to set up a picture that looks like they didn't finish setting up.
trendy or something
well, they have hundreds if not thousands of pictures on their web site and catalogs so...
