I'm new to the whole lifting thing, started this week. First off let me say my goal isn't to get huge and bulky, but i wouldn't mine gaining a little weight, mostly tone. I'm 6'5 and about 200lbs right now. A friend helped me get a routine started, but i'm not sure really what i need to be doing. Here is what my current plan is: Day 1, chest and triceps. Day 2, back, biceps, waist. Day 3 shoulders, traps, legs. Been shooting for 8 reps, 3 sets. Day 1 and 2 done so far. How long of a break should i have between days? Since i'm targetting different groups is it ok to go friday-sunday, or should i space things out more? Also when do you know when you're overdoing it After day 1 my arms were pretty sore to move around, etc. What kind of realistic improvement can i expect without changing my diet? I don't really want to take supplements. Thanks in advance!
