    first knee injury ever. seems really minor but still scary, especially given my weight. :noes: :wtc:

    freaking bullshit how it happened. IDK how to describe it other than we were told to use some twin leg-lock move from the guard while holding a trapped armbar and forcing the head up. :dunno: how i/he moved but i ended up cranking my ankle a little to the side while the leg stayed straight. felt a minor pain then, nothing afterwards, just a little stiff now. no swelling or anything so i should be ok. :Owned:

    remember kiddies. KM is, apparently, nearly worthless for anything on the ground. :hs:

    cliffs: TigreTek got owned by BS KM ground techniques. :Ownedd:

    edit:
    KM = krav maga

    sounds like the same injury that a heel hook would give you. If the pain when the injury occured wasn't major, then hopefully nothing tore (ACL, MCL, LCL).

    For me I think its been a couple weeks at least and the knee is not bothering me unless I twist my foot inwards hard.

    the pain was actually rather minor, slightly more than slowly pushing a finger back past where is comfortable, it's just freaking me out as i've never had any sort of knee injury despite my weight. it's a little stiff today, but nothing serious.

    Sambo is generally known as the innovator of leg locks

    I'm not trying to be pedantic or anything but assuming that he was doing KM which is an Israeli combat system then i imagine that the leg lock entries were very derived from Russian jewish immigrants to Israel.

    I may be wrong but it's just a guess.

    watch the igor yakimov leg locks tapes, there are twin leglocks in it that are actually pretty viable.

    i thought tendonitis was more of a repetitive use injury? this was a "bad move, oh shit" kind of injury. not something that feels like it's developed over time. :dunno: :hs:

    I can even imagine how that twin leglock would work. it sounds cool though.
