First i picked up a free '97 GT shortblock that had spun a rod bearing, threw out the internals, bored and double torque plate honed it .02 to barely a 4.7

New Manley H-Beams with ARP rods bolts (rods good to 950, bolts to 850).

Forged 8 bolt cobra crank, 37k miles. I'd have to use my used cast crank otherwise so i figured a used cobra crank wouldn't hurt. Good to 1200hp and 8k rpms.

Took a couple months to fully assemble and have done, which it has been from March until now. Forged Manley 18cc pistons. ARP mainstuds.

Fuel system. Twin 255's with snorkel to 5/8" rails and 62lb injectors.

Extra High load springs, replacing my comp cam beehives.

Custom blower cams, basically a stage 2.25
    [IMG]

Using the heads off my car right now. Stage 2 MMR PI's, 230/200cfm. ARP headstuds.

    Extras:

Today. TVS blower, lower intake with upgraded intercooler designed for the TVS, upgraded expansion tank and coolant pump system. Independent 8-rib drive system. Ect.

    Thermo relocater
    [IMG]

Modified form of the std. kit's coolant pump
    [IMG]

    Heat exchanger
    [IMG]

Larger coolant expansion than the standard kit
    [IMG]

    Coolant hosing
    [IMG]

    Big ass crank pair
    [IMG]

    Intake
    [IMG]

    Accessory independent drive
    [IMG]

    And this thingy

Through my built auto, i hope to daily it at 490-510rwhp hopefully still on pump gas. Then, depending on what the stock pulley did, i have two smaller size uppers and an optional 9" lower that I can mix and match to get me to my race gas-mix range of 600-640rwhp where I wanna be.

Thing is, no one's done this yet - so we're not even sure what the stock pulley may do. Could be 13psi, could be 17. My heads and blower cams are a big factor too. We'll just have to see and tweak the tune/mods according to the power I want on the two different tunes.

Like air/oil separation? Oil feed separation? What do you mean? It's a closed lubrication unit.

Thanks, it's turning a lot more pink lately, and the carbon fiber cowl hood i bought to clear the supercharger isn't painted - so i'm def going to hold onto those pics for awhile. Not exactly a show car

still reading up on it but from what I heard both sides are connected running to the separator with either one or 2 prefilter off the valve. sounds overboard, but at 17lbs...

Where did you read that? I wouldn't know at this point to be honest. It's capable of 20/21+psi

why'd you decide to go with that rod manuf? I'm trying to figure out rods for a later build, but I have no idea what to look for :hsd:

You are gonna need some drag radials. Those NT555s will NOT handle that power

Well, it's a 2V. And nothing against the M112 but the TVS is another league. M112 is 4th gen, MP112 is 5th gen, TVS is not only bigger but a 6th gen that's a whole new redesign. Instead of 2 lobe 60 degree twist, it's 4 lobe 160 degree twist. More power while spinning lower and making less heat.
Manley is pretty high up there. They are quality rods, basically same ones used OEM with the 03/04 cobra except minus the SVT logo. I wouldn't go with probe or scat ect. PM me if you want, i did a lot of reading about rods.

They are 295 Firehawk Wideovals, and you are correct - sir. Tha'ts the point for now, stock axles. Better the tires take the brunt than my axles. Once a 31 spline set-up is in i'll put some meats on.

1, I started building (gathering parts) for the shortblock in October.
    2. Building my own shortblock breaks down to about 1/2 price
    3. I waited to find deals on every extra part needed like injectors, fuel system, everything.
    4. The kit and labor, well I work for a certain performance shop currently. It's a pretty good arrangement.

FYI: TorkTech is the same owner as magnumpowers.com who does work for the Thunderbird SC crew (my car) and Lightning crew.

I hope your install goes well.
