TV Tuner Card

    I need to purchase a tv-tuner card. Ive read a couple of reviews for the ATI cards and they havent been too good. Can anyone suggest a good card?

    my ati all in wonder 9600 128 card isn't bad.
    you have to figure that tv isn't going to look awesome on a computer screen because of the resolution difference compared to a tv

    I second the Hauppauge 150. I use the 250 for a mythtv box without problems.

    Regardless of what card you get (hauppuage) use Dscaler for deinterlacing:)

    Hauppauge. 150, 250, or 350. The main difference between models (aside from big leaps in price) - the higher the number, the more of the processing load the tuner takes on.

    I got my mom an ATI All-In-Wonder 9600. It works great; she's been using it every day to import old Video8 home movies and watch TV. The only thing I wish it would do is blur the TV picture so the static wouldn't show up quite so clearly on the nice LCD screen she has. It's inevitable that the TV signal will be pretty crappy compared to what a computer screen can show. (shrug)

    ATI cards are the suck and they do not work with HyperThreading
